Up All Night… in Milton? you betcha – Ned Devine’s Irish Pub
We did our first show in at Ned Devine’s in Milton last week… what a great bar and a great crowd! We have a number of other nights booked at Ned’s throughout the next 6 months (including Halloween and St. Paddy’s). I was really excited to see a new club on the calendar but now that we’ve actually played there and seen the crowd it’s even more exciting for us. See you on Oct 31st Ned!
Big thanks to Sean Cunnington for parachuting in and doing the highwire act on the sound system. Cheers buddy!

Alexander Keith’s Birthday Bash at Murphy’s Law Irish Pub
Who knew that a Monday night in fall in the Toronto beaches could be so fun! Once again, Murphy’s Law put on a great event.. this time to celebrate Alexander Keith’s birthday… complete with Lobster. The bar gave away free Keith’s mugs, of which the band loaded up on and is now selling out of the back of our fiddler’s car. In the business world we call that “diversifying our product offering”. Thanks to Glenn at Murphy’s for providing us with a great alternative revenue stream.
Thanks to all who made it out. We had a blast!

- UP ALL NIGHT Live at Murphy’s
- Table full of local firefighters… the true champions of Monday night partying. They literally burned the place to the ground.
- Lobster night at Murphy’s Law
- The wonderful wait staff at Murphy’s Law. Thanks for keeping our glasses full all night long… guarantying that we actually make no money as a result. :)
Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon
Thanks to Murphy’s Law Irish Pub, the band got the opportunity to play last Sunday morning in support of the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon. Granted the gig was early by musician standards it was super fun. We did a three hour long set and literally played til our hands bleed. Perhaps it didn’t help that we kept commenting into the mic about how tired we were… considering we were playing to runners who had just passed the 30km mark of the race. A LOT of dirty looks. let me tell you.

Up All Night at Fionn MacCool’s on the Esplanade Toronto – 250 Years of Guinness!
Hola! The band had a great gig on Saturday. We performed at Fionn MacCool’s on the Esplanade here in the bands adopted home town of Toronto. We played in support of an event celebrating Arthur Guinness’ 250th birthday! I kid you not… there was a half ton block of ice carved to look like a pint of Guinness. They had carved a channel in so you could pour a pint in the top and it would come out the bottom super cold… like a booze luge… I almost cried it was so beautiful. Then I tried to lick it. The bartender was unimpressed.
Filling in on guitar for Derek this week was the amazing Sean Cunnington. Saturday night was Sean’s first gig with us and we were all real impressed by his attempt at a Celtic version of “Hot For Teacher”. Stunning really. Golf Clap.
